Commit to Knit returns for 2018

This year’s Commit To Knit Month 2018, our campaign that encourages knitters and crocheters to make one item for charity, will take place in September.

Last year crafters all over the country got involved and this time we are particularly calling on knitting groups across the UK to get involved.

To celebrate Commit To Knit, the team at UK Hand Knitting has created seven specially designed free patterns including blankets, mitts, a hat, Christmas stockings and a gorgeous teddy kindly donated by blogger Emma Varnam.

The pattern leaflet will be available as a free download from the UK Hand Knitting website. We will also be encouraging knitting groups with our new monthly draw to win a pack of yarn from August. Make sure your knitting group is registered with us by clicking here.

We’re busy getting this year’s charity projects ready for September

If you know of a charity that is looking for knitted or crocheted items, please encourage them to get in touch with us by emailing info@ukhandknitting.com

Keep following us here on the blog or on social media to ensure you are up to date with this year’s Commit to Knit plans.

    1. Anyone can take part – the more people knitting for charity the better.
We are encouraging knitting groups this year as a theme because last year some knitting groups were amazingly productive for during Commit to Knit month
